Harvest activities begin in Barentu sub-zone

The farmers in the Administrative areas of Ashoshi, Kerkasha, Kona and Fodie-Anagulu, Barentu sub-zone, said that harvest gathering has begun in the locality. Barentu, 5 October 2012 – The farmers in the Administrative areas of Ashoshi, Kerkasha, Kona and Fodie-Anagulu, Barentu sub-zone, said that harvest gathering has begun in the locality.

Mr. Tahir Shangai, Administrator of Ashoshi Administrative area, indicated that a commendable amount of rainfall was witnessed in the area, thus giving rise to remarkable and diversified harvest of sorghum, millet and sesame.

Among the farmers, Mr. Demet Shingul Lolo and Mr. Tinsue Eyob expressed satisfaction with the harvest, and said that they would work hard to collect their produce on time.
