Youths in Anseba region called upon to effectively utilize education and training opportunities

The regional branch of the NUEYS in Anseba region called on youths to effectively utilize the available education and training opportunities. It made the call at an assessment meeting conducted recently.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Bereket Teklesenbet, head of the PFDJ office in Anseba region, pointed out that youths should cope with technological advance and pave the ground for a bright future on the basis of exploiting its merits, and that such venture demands the participation of the entire citizenry.

Meanwhile, reports presented by NUEYS sub-zonal offices indicated that awards were presented to exemplary 11th grade students in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, and that various seminars were conducted, in addition to vocational trainings.

Mr. Luji Husein, head of the NUEYS branch office, disclosed that the opening of a youth center in Habero sub-zone and the plantation of tree seedlings in Kerkebet sub-zone are some of the programs implemented by the Association this year.

Ms. Saba Haile from the NUEYS head office on her part presented a strategic plan for the next 5 years, and called on nationals and the pertinent bodies to strengthen efforts to enhance production capacity of youths.

The participants of the meeting put forth views regarding a number of issues, and reaffirmed readiness to back up the national development drive.
