New irrigation farming activities in Mengula Administrative area showing creditable outcome

The inhabitants of Mengula Administrative area said that they are carrying out commendable irrigation farming activities on the basis of effective harnessing water resources. They further indicated that they have obtained impressive tomato harvest. Goluj, 9 October 2012 – The inhabitants of Mengula Administrative area said that they are carrying out commendable irrigation farming activities on the basis of effective harnessing water resources. They further indicated that they have obtained impressive tomato harvest.

Among the farmers, Mr. Omar Ali Saleh, Ms. Ahmed Mohammed Saleh and Ms. Jim’a Mohammed explained that they could meet the local demand and improve their livelihood. They also called on fellow inhabitants to pursue the initiative of exploiting the rich land resource in the area.

Mengula village, around 30 Km. south of Goluj semi-urban center, is inhibited by 20,000 people.
