Business owners in Agordat express satisfaction with extended hours regarding electricity supply

Business owners in Agordat voiced satisfaction with extended hours as regards electricity supply, the impact of which has significantly fostered socio-economic activities in the city. Stating that better services could be rendered upon the extending of electricity supply from 6 to 18 hours a day, they explained that such opportunity would encourage further production of goods and services. Agordat, 10 October 2012 – Business owners in Agordat voiced satisfaction with extended hours as regards electricity supply, the impact of which has significantly fostered socio-economic activities in the city. Stating that better services could be rendered upon the extending of electricity supply from 6 to 18 hours a day, they explained that such opportunity would encourage further production of goods and services.

Among the business owners, Mr. Osman Abubeker, Mr. Merhawi Amlesom and Mr. Yohanes Tekle expressed appreciation for the advancement registered in extending electricity supply.

Mr. Kahsai Gonder, head of electricity supply service in Agordat sub-zone, said that future undertakings of the office focus on ensuring 24-hour service in Agordat city, besides the electrification of Engerne, Karshimla and Tekreriet areas, as well as the farmlands along Barka River.
