Seminar conducted pertaining to prevention of communicable diseases in Southern region

The National Union of Eritrean Workers Association branch in the Southern region organized a seminar as regards prevention of communicable diseases in Mendefera city with a view to enhancing  the role of civil servants and associations workers to this end. Mendefera, 12 October 2012 – The National Union of Eritrean Workers Association branch in the Southern region organized a seminar as regards prevention of communicable diseases in Mendefera city with a view to enhancing  the role of civil servants and associations workers to this end.

Heading the seminar, Mr. Asefaw Negasi, head of communicable diseases department at the Health Ministry’s branch in the Southern region, said that  gratifying outcome has been registered regarding popular awareness on communicable diseases, especially on that of TB and HIV/AIDS, and that the endeavors would continue until the cherished goal is attained.

Mr. Tekeste Mehretab, head of the Union’s branch office, called on parents to raise their awareness in this regard and stakeholders as well as the pertinent organizations to extend a helping hand towards the realization of the desired outcome.

The participants of the seminar voiced readiness to step up participation in endeavors towards eradicating communicable diseases.
