Keren, 19 October 2012 – The Administration of the College of Agriculture in Hamelmalo indicated that around 700 students have obtained admission.
Mr. Semere Amlesom, Dean of the College, explained that the number of undergraduate registration in the current academic year amounts to 1,864, and that 20 Graduate Assistants and civil servants are attending post-graduate studies. Stating that the College’s location has created conducive environment for research work and agricultural extension exposure, he further explained that considerable research outcome could be compiled regarding select crops through student-based venture.
Reports indicate that the college is laying infrastructure facilities with a view to extending laboratory facilities.
Among students, Tesfalem Meharena and Selam Berhane expressed satisfaction with the theoretical and practical aspects of the educational service being provided by the College.
