Endaba Meta’e is a monastery located around five or six kilometers off the road between Dubarwa and Guila, Southern region. It is a stunning place with its beautiful landscape and forest and is a place believed to cure eye and ear diseases and from paralysis with its Holy Water. It is also said that Aba Libanos, a saint from the Middle East, ?rst set his foot in this place before he moved to Ham to establish the monastery there.
Many corpses that looked to have been their bodies intact are also found there that with time and exposure to wind and sun are now on the verge of fragmenting. They were probably the firrst mummies in our region. As to whom the corpses belong to and when they were dead is not yet known. But the area is still striking and worth to visit.
