Material support extended to needy children in the sub-zones of Adi-Quala and Afabet

The sub-zonal branch offices of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare in Adi-Quala and Afabet sub-zones indicated that they have extended educational supplies to a total of 160 needy children in the respective localities. Adi-kuala, 19 October 2012 – The sub-zonal branch offices of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare in Adi-Quala and Afabet sub-zones indicated that they have extended educational supplies to a total of 160 needy children in the respective localities.

Ms. Tirhas Solomon, head of the branch office in Adi-Quala, stated that the beneficiary children in the locality are 100 junior and secondary level students, and called on them to work hard in their educational career. Among the beneficiaries, Esey Tekie, Yonas Tesfai and Natsinet Gebre explained that such support is extended to them on annual basis, and that it is a motivating element regarding their academic performance.

Meanwhile, Ms. Fatina Haj, head of the Ministry’s branch in Afabet sub-zone, disclosed that the 60 beneficiaries of the support include disabled children. Mr. Musa Adem from the Education Ministry’s branch in the locality said that the government makes such provisions nationwide with a view to ensuring equitable educational service. He further called on parents to extend a helping hand towards the realization of the cherished goal.

Ms. Fatina pointed out that sustainable impact could be demonstrated to this end in line with such welfare strategy, and that the Ministry would step up endeavors to this end.

The parents of the beneficiaries lauded the government’s commitment in improving the livelihood of citizens.
