Dr. Samson Abai from the regional Referral Hospital of the Southern Region said that tobacco and alcohol use is estimated to be causing considerable health, social and other problems in the country. Mr. Tsegai Andebirhan, a pharmacist, on his part called for the enhancement of parental role to this end.
The participants of the seminar conducted discussion and put forth views pertaining to various issues, and called on religious leaders and teachers to play vital role in reducing tobacco and alcohol consumption.
