Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone: Better crop production witnessed following soil and water conservation accomplishment
The inhabitants of Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone said that they are in a position to ensure better crop production following the accomplishment of popular soil and water conservation undertaking. They further indicated that they would step up endeavors in this regard. Adi-Tekelezan, 22 October 2012 – The inhabitants of Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone said that they are in a position to ensure better crop production following the accomplishment of popular soil and water conservation undertaking.
They further indicated that they would step up endeavors in this regard.
Among the inhabitants, Mr. Mehari Fisehaye and Mr. Girmai Gide, Administrator of Deki-Gebru Administrative area, explained that the undertaking which lasted for several months had also positive impact on vegetation, in addition to the accomplishment registered as regards renovation of dirt roads.
Mr. Tesfamichael Yohanes from the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone stated that such accomplishment would provide impetus to biodiversity in the locality, and called on the inhabitants to extend a helping hand towards ensuring sustainability of the outcome.
Mr. Ande Adhanom, Administrator of Adi-Tekelezan sub-zone, lauded the initiative taken by the inhabitants.
