Anseba region: Endeavors to improve the livelihood of war-disabled veterans described effective

The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in Anseba region indicated that endeavors exerted towards improving the livelihood of war-disabled veterans have brought about commendable outcome. Mr. Shimai Gebrehiwet, in charge of the affairs of war-disabled veterans at the branch office, stated that the process of rehabilitation is handled by a committee whose members also comprise members of the ministries of health and defense. He further indicated that a number of war-disabled veterans are in a position to improve their livelihood on the basis of businesses shares.

Mr. Girmai Bekuretsion, head of the branch office, explained that the rehabilitation venture could have positive impact in line with the beneficiaries’ hard work at individual and partnership level, and called on them to sustain such attitude.

Mr. Idris Mohammed Hamd, Administrator of Hagaz sub-zone, expressed the Administration’s readiness to enhance collaboration with war-disabled veterans.

The war-disabled veterans, on their part said that they would step up participation in national development programs.
