The inhabitants of Gerset Administrative area said that Gerset Agricultural Project has created considerable job opportunities, thus fostering socio-economic activities in the locality. Goluj, 25 October 2012 – The inhabitants of Gerset Administrative area said that Gerset Agricultural Project has created considerable job opportunities, thus fostering socio-economic activities in the locality.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Suleiman Salman, Ms. Saba Yemane, Mr. Mehari Tesfazgi and Ms. Nefisa Mohammed explained that they are in a position to improve their livelihood, and that the work exposure in the project has become a significant element as regards raising their awareness on irrigation farming and acquiring work skills.

Mr. Abraham Tafla from the Area administration of Gerset indicated that more than 1,200 workers have been employed by the project.
