Inhabitants of Homib Administrative area called upon to enhance role as regards fostering female participation in education

The Administration of Forto-Sawa sub-zone called on the inhabitants to strengthen their role as regards fostering female participation in education. It made the call at a meeting with the inhabitants of Homib Administrative area. Forto-Sawa, 27 October 2012 – The Administration of Forto-Sawa sub-zone called on the inhabitants to strengthen their role as regards fostering female participation in education. It made the call at a meeting with the inhabitants of Homib Administrative area.

Mr. Abdelkerim Idris, the sub-zonal Administrator, also called on the inhabitants to extend a helping hand in doing away with harmful customary practices such as juvenile marriage and the practice of female-bound domestic chore believed to constitute the main causes of low participation of girls in education. Moreover, he called on them to prudently utilize the available social service facilities.

The participants of the meeting voiced readiness to step up endeavors in this regard.
