Livestock vaccination campaign underway in the Southern Red Sea region

The Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the Southern Red Sea region indicated that it is conducting livestock vaccination campaign focusing on internal and external parasites. Assab, 27 October 2012 – The Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the Southern Red Sea region indicated that it is conducting livestock vaccination campaign focusing on internal and external parasites.

Dr. Yonas Woldu, head of the branch office, pointed out that similar outreach campaigns are conducted by the staff members there before and after the rainy season on annual basis. Moreover, he said that such accomplishment is vital as regards fostering livestock farming, and called on livestock farmers in the region to extend a helping hand towards ensuring effectiveness of the vaccination program.

Among the beneficiaries, Ms. Zahra Mohammed and Mr. Mohammed Kasim expressed satisfaction with the vaccination program, and said that they would play due role as regards the realization of the cherished goal.
