Farmers in Goluj sub-zone voiced satisfaction with animal feed that has been secured within grazing land. Pointing out that there exists 22,000 hectare-wide grazing area that embraces a number of micro-dams in the locality, they explained that they are in a position to save time and energy in herding.
Goluj, 5 November 2012 – Farmers in Goluj sub-zone voiced satisfaction with animal feed that has been secured within grazing land. Pointing out that there exists 22,000 hectare-wide grazing area that embraces a number of micro-dams in the locality, they explained that they are in a position to save time and energy in herding.
Among the farmers, Mr. Abraham Kiros and Mr. Saleh Ali expressed appreciation for the initiative taken to expand the grazing area.
Mr. Redie Bahlibi, head of economic development in the sub-zone, indicated that the Administration has been stepping up efforts to boost livestock production, and called on the Ministry of Agriculture to strengthen its task of contagious diseases control in the area as beneficiaries of the grazing land include roving herdsmen from the vicinity.
