Mr. Mehari Segid, the factory’s manager, explained that it was opened in 2008 with limited capacity, and that it is presently producing more than 17 types of pipe with wide-ranging diameter size. He further indicated that the new machinery would enable it to manufacture drip irrigation pipes, plumbing joints and other small diameter pipes. The factory has also enabled a number of youths to acquire skill experience in this regard, the manager added.

Among the employees, Ogbai Kiflemariam, Mohammed-Seid Jabir and Berhane Yemane equally voiced conviction that the factory has provided them the opportunity to share valuable experience, and that the new machinery would make significant impact on raising its product line.
