Anseba region: Training course as regards VCT organized for 19 health professionals

The Health Ministry organized a counseling-oriented training course for 19 health professionals in Anseba region with a view to reinforcing health service outreach in the region to this end. Keren, 10 November 2012 – The Health Ministry organized a counseling-oriented training course for 19 health professionals in Anseba region with a view to reinforcing health service outreach in the region to this end.

Mr. Yemane Tsegai, head of HIV/AIDS control in the region, pointed out that VCT service is being rendered by 40 health institutions at regional level, thus making significant impact in the control of communicable diseases, especially HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Kesetebirhan Solomon, head of the Ministry’s branch in Anseba region, explained that such training is supplementary to a program being launched with a view to attaining zero mother-infant HIV transmission by the year 2015.

The trainees expressed conviction that the practical and theoretical aspects of the training are valuable in their career.
