The Association of Milk and Feed Production in the Southern region stated that it would step up endeavors to raise output. It made the statement at an assessment meeting conducted in Dekemhare city, during which it was stated that the Association is reinforcing integrated endeavors towards ensuring sustainable supply of milk.
Dekemhare, 10 November 2012 – The Association of Milk and Feed Production in the Southern region stated that it would step up endeavors to raise output. It made the statement at an assessment meeting conducted in Dekemhare city, during which it was stated that the Association is reinforcing integrated endeavors towards ensuring sustainable supply of milk.
Mr. Birhane Tesfai and Mr. Tesfalem Teame, chairman of the Association and the secretary respectively, pointed out that the Association has been working exclusively within the region so as to avoid incurring of additional transport cost, and that increased production by it is due to make significant contribution in reducing milk price.
Reports indicate that the Association of Milk and Feed Production that was established in August 2011 has a number of members in the sub-zones of Dekemhare, Mai-Aini, Segeneiti, Adi-Keih, Tserona and Senafe owning a total of 3,000 cattle.
