Inhabitants and natives of Tala renovate dirt road that runs to their village

The inhabitants and natives of Tala renovated the 9 Km-long dirt road between Kakibda and their village on the basis of popular undertaking.

Debarwa, 12 November 2012 – The inhabitants and natives of Tala renovated the 9 Km-long dirt road between Kakibda and their village on the basis of popular undertaking.

Mr. Gebreindrias Kifle, Administrator of Tala Administrative area, explained that the road constitutes the only route of vehicle transportation to the village, and that the venture was accomplished within 5 days.

Among the participants, Mr. Semere Amhatsion, Mr. Yemane Girmatsion, Mr. Bereket Gebremariam and Ms. Emuna Awaju explained that the undertaking is conducted on annual basis, and that the renovation of the road would facilitate accessibility of public services and socio-economic activities in the area.

Reports indicate that a number of social service facilities have been put in place in Tala Administrative area, in addition to the big dam in Kakibda area.
