Inhabitants of Embatkala Administrative area engage in renovation of dirt roads

The inhabitants of Embatkala Administrative area, Ginda sub-zone, said that they are engaged in popular undertaking with a view to renovating dirt roads and expanding the width of the mainstream road within Embatkala which has been uncomfortable for vehicle transport. Ginda, 13 November 2012 – The inhabitants of Embatkala Administrative area, Ginda sub-zone, said that they are engaged in popular undertaking with a view to renovating dirt roads and expanding the width of the mainstream road within Embatkala which has been uncomfortable for vehicle transport.

Among the participants, Mr. Woldegiorgis Haile, Mr. Sifaf Talke and Ms. Saedia Seid explained that stones rolling from mountains have been causing problem to automobile traffic, and that the undertaking has played significant role in doing away with the quandary.

Mr. Idris Ali Dermas, Administrator of Embatkala Administrative area, pointed out that the inhabitants have been striving to minimize erosional impact of the strong river flow from Debre Bizen escarpment through the construction of terraces and water catchment walls. He further lauded the inhabitants’ readiness to back up the national development drive.
