The festival of Eritrean community members in Qatar opened today with patriotic zeal in the presence of Ambassadors and country representatives.

Asmara, 15 November 2012 – The festival of Eritrean community members in Qatar opened today with patriotic zeal in the presence of Ambassadors and country representatives.

Mr. Tahir Mohammed Arei, Chairman of the community, indicated that members did their level best to make the event vibrant, and commended those who made an exceptional input to this end.

Reports indicated that Mr. Abdalla Jabir, Head of Organizational Affairs at the PFDJ, and Mr. Mohammed Bin Abdul-Aziz Alkhewari, the Qatari Minister of Cultural Affairs, inaugurated an exhibition that highlights the Eritrean armed struggle for liberation, development activities in the Homeland vis-à-vis the endeavors being exerted towards ensuring social justice and the Eritrean culture as well as relics. The festival in which a seminar, cultural shows and other activities would be highlighted is due to continue until November 17, reports added.
