Keren, 17 November 2012 – The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in Anseba region has extended support to 455 needy students that includes various learning materials, uniforms and reimbursement of annual educational fee.
Mr. Tedros Fisehaye, head of social welfare in the branch office, indicated that the beneficiaries comprise Elementary to High School students, and called on parents and teachers to play due role in building the production capacity of the children.
Sami abdalla, one of the beneficiaries, voiced satisfaction with the support, and said that he would work hard to ensure a bright future. Among parents, Ms. Kebedesh Bereketeab and Ms. Shashu Gebrekidan lauded the government’s endeavors to safeguard the people’s wellbeing.
Ms. Teberih Tesfasilasie, Acting head of the Ministry’s branch in Keren sub-zone, equally called on parents to demonstrate active participation in their children’s scholastic pursuit.
