Ministry extends support to needy students in Assab sub-zone

The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in Assab sub-zone has extended material and financial support to 200 needy students. Assab, 20 November 2012 – The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in Assab sub-zone has extended material and financial support to 200 needy students.

Among the beneficiaries, Hussein Hassan and Mohammed Ali Bori expressed satisfaction with the support, and said that it is a motivating element in their academic pursuit. Furthermore, they asserted that they would work hard to score better result. Ms. Almaz Gebregziabher, one of the parents, lauded the government’s endeavors in this regard.

Mr. Tesfamariam Berhe from the Ministry’s branch in the Southern Red Sea region explained that it has been stepping up efforts to this end, and that such support is a facet of an ongoing benefit scheme. Moreover, he called on the beneficiaries to remain persistent towards ensuring a bright future.
