Gogne, 22 November 2012 – The inhabitants of Gogne sub-zone expressed satisfaction with livestock market, the role of which has reportedly become crucial in fostering the locality’s revenue. They further elucidated that the locality’s livestock used to be sold in the markets in Haikota and Barentu before the putting in place of the one within the locality, and that they are in a position to save time and energy in this regard.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Mohammed Mahmoud, Mr. Mohammed Adem and Mr. Abdalla Tumbo said that the availability of such market has given impetus to other socio-economic activities in the locality.

Mr. Ogbai Semere, tax collector at the marketplace, indicated that a growing amount of tax is being collected in line with adherence to effective method and increase in supply of livestock.
