Molqi, 23 November 2012 – Families of martyrs and needy citizens in Molqi sub-zone which have been rehabilitated in livestock are demonstrating improvement of livelihood, Reports indicated.
Among the beneficiaries, Ms. Lemlem Kiflai, Ms. Silas Adhanom and Mr. Abedom Yohanes lauded the government’s commitment in safeguarding the wellbeing of citizens, and said that they would exert effort to attain better income.
Mr. Gebriel Kahsai, head of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the sub-zone, disclosed that the benefit scheme regarding the families generally focused on livestock worth 20,000 Nakfa per household, while others were provided with financial and material support. He further pointed out that 28 families of fallen heroes patronized by nationals residing abroad have each become beneficiaries of 10,000 to 20,000 Nakfa.
