Hamelmalo College of Agriculture laying infrastructure for higher scientific research activities

The Administration of Hamelmalo College of Agriculture indicated that it is laying better infrastructure for higher scientific research activities at an expenditure of $ 4 million.

Hamelmalo, 26 November 2012 – The Administration of Hamelmalo College of Agriculture indicated that it is laying better infrastructure for higher scientific research activities at an expenditure of $ 4 million.

Mr. Semere Amlesom, Dean of the College, explained that the construction of a two-storey building comprising a modern lab, classrooms and others is due to provide better learning environment for postgraduate students, thus contributing to national development programs through new research findings. He further pointed out that the College has been exerting endeavors to promote quality of education and graduating more than 300 annually, in addition to the effort it is exerting towards strengthening its agricultural extension activities.

Hamelmalo College of Agriculture, which originally admitted 460 students, has presently registered around 1,900 students, according to reports.
