Association of Fruits and Vegetables Farmers in Nacfa exerting efforts to boost production

The Association of Fruits and Vegetables Farmers in Nacfa urban center stated that it is exerting efforts to boost production on the basis of integrating land, financial and human resources. It further indicated that a growing trend has been noted as regards harvest of fruits and vegetables in the locality, and that it has extended farmland capacity vis-à-vis construction of new water diversion canals.

Nacfa, 29 November 2012 – The Association of Fruits and Vegetables Farmers in Nacfa urban center stated that it is exerting efforts to boost production on the basis of integrating land, financial and human resources. It further indicated that a growing trend has been noted as regards harvest of fruits and vegetables in the locality, and that it has extended farmland capacity vis-à-vis construction of new water diversion canals.

Among the farmers, Mr. Solomon Yemane, Mr. Abdullahi Mohammed-Ali and Mr. Mahmoud Osman expressed satisfaction with working as an Association, and explained that their products are being sold in the markets up to Afabet semi-urban center and Keren city. They further pointed out that they have acquired valuable experience through collaboration with the Ministry.

The Association has 143 members.
