Inhabitants of Geleb sub-zone called upon to step up participation in national development drive

The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, called on the inhabitants of Geleb sub-zone to step up participation in implementation of development programs. He made the call at a meeting during which it was stated that the safeguarding of national dignity involves virtues such as organization, norm of work and productivity at societal level.

Geleb, 30 November 2012 – The Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, called on the inhabitants of Geleb sub-zone to step up participation in implementation of development programs. He made the call at a meeting during which it was stated that the safeguarding of national dignity involves virtues such as organization, norm of work and productivity at societal level.

Moreover, the regional Administrator explained that future undertakings would focus on reinforcement of popular undertakings as regards soil and water conservation, as well as environmental protection activities and promoting association-based fruits and vegetables farming ventures, besides enhancement of land use follow-up. He also disclosed that the implementation of new community hospital in Geleb would gain momentum vis-à-vis the ongoing electrification process in the area.

Furthermore, Mr. Gergis called on Area Administrators to strive to raise community awareness regarding wildlife conservation and apiculture.
