Southern Red Sea region: 33 beneficiaries of training as regards journalism graduate

A total of 33 youths who have been attending training course as regards journalism have graduated. The training was organized in collaboration between the Ministry of Information and the Administration of the Southern Red Sea region.

Assab, 30 November 2012 – A total of 33 youths who have been attending training course as regards journalism have graduated. The training was organized in collaboration between the Ministry of Information and the Administration of the Southern Red Sea region.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Ali Mahmoud, the regional Administrator, lauded the impact the national media outlets are making in promoting national development programs and raising societal awareness on various issues. He further called on the beneficiaries of the training to play due role in enhancing media coverage in the region, and said that the Administration would continue to collaborate with them.

In the same vein, Mr. Sibhatu Kifle, head of human resource development in the Ministry of Information, called on the trainees to work hard to enrich the knowledge they have acquired through practical aspect and consistent readership. He also expressed appreciation for the collaboration of the regional Administration in organizing the training.

Eden Solomon, a representative of the trainees, said that they would do their level best in their new career as media personnel.

In this connection, the Administration of the Southern Red Sea region handed over media equipments to the Information Ministry’s branch there.
