Massawa, 3 December 2012 – The office of Police Forces in the port city of Massawa has organized seminars with a view to raising juvenile awareness as regards law and promoting cultural values.
Capt. Abdelnur Sherif, commander of a police station in the city, explained that the reinforcement of community-police relations is a major prerequisite in crime prevention, and called on youths to play due role in this regard.
Maj. Teklebirhan Yohanes, commander of the Traffic Police in the Northern Red Sea region, on his part said that the majority of the causes pertinent to traffic accidents are reckless driving, undesirable speed, alcohol and inattentiveness to traffic laws. He further called on bicycle riders to practice more caution.
