Hagaz, 14 December 2012 – The Inhabitants of Ashera Administrative area, Hagaz sub-zone, expressed satisfaction with educational facilities, the impact of which has become visible in the locality. They further pointed out that a new kindergarten is playing vital role in enhancing preschool education.
Among the inhabitants, Ms. Yirgalem Keleta, Ms. Fireweini Solomon and Mr. Zemhret Woldemichael lauded the government’s commitment towards promoting education, and said that the reinforcement of preschool education has become a springboard to nurturing student confidence in line with debut to elementary school.
Sister Nura Aushek, director of the kindergarten in the locality, explained that it was equipped in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the inhabitants and stakeholders. The kindergarten has currently registered more than 50 children.
Mr. Temnewo Netabai, director of the Junior and Elementary School, voiced conviction that the kindergarten is expected to make considerable impact in reinforcing the teaching-learning process at elementary level. Furthermore, he disclosed that the trend of school registration has generally grown by 11%, with 5% growth in that of females.
