The Municipal Administration of Keren city has organized training for 21 members of fire brigade, 5 of whom are females. The training course which involved practical and theoretical aspects dealt with fire control and extinguishing mechanisms, application of apparatus, as well as first aid and life rescuing.
Keren, 4 January 2013 – The Municipal Administration of Keren city has organized training for 21 members of fire brigade, 5 of whom are females. The training course which involved practical and theoretical aspects dealt with fire control and extinguishing mechanisms, application of apparatus, as well as first aid and life rescuing.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Samson Ogbe, resource person, indicated that orientations were also given to various pertinent businesses in the city such as hotels, factories and fuel stations in such a way that familiarizes the work of fire brigade. The trainees on their part expressed readiness to prove courage and excellence in their career.
Mr. Misgina Gebru, head of administration and finance in the sub-zonal Administration of the city, disclosed that new fire brigade cars have been dispatched to Keren, and called on the firefighters to translate the knowledge they have acquired into practice.
