A number of religious leaders in the Southern Red Sea region said that religious holidays are occasions during which prevalence of the Eritrean people’s unity is reflected. They further indicated that no external force could erode such societal virtue which is based on exemplary religious tolerance.
Assab, 7 January 2013 – A number of religious leaders in the Southern Red Sea region said that religious holidays are occasions during which prevalence of the Eritrean people’s unity is reflected. They further indicated that no external force could erode such societal virtue which is based on exemplary religious tolerance.
Sheikh Isa Mohammed Seid and Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Awtile indicated that the prevailing harmony within the Eritrean people is a value that should be bequeathed to future generations. Likewise, Rev. Abrehaley Tsige and Rev. Girmai Kahsai stated that the spirit of such holidays should always be accompanied by spirit of care for others, and asserted that religious diversity is a cornerstone for popular unity in Eritrea.
