The Education Ministry’s branch in Agordat sub-zone called on the inhabitants to extend a helping hand towards promoting Adult Education. Agordat, 18 January 2013 – The Education Ministry’s branch in Agordat sub-zone called on the inhabitants to extend a helping hand towards promoting Adult Education. It made the call at a meeting conducted with the inhabitants of Ad-Qeyi’e village during which it was noted that there exist 48 stations for the program, which impact has become significant, especially among those leading nomadic lifestyle.
Mr. Hamd Abdalla, supervisor of the schools in the sub-zone, explained that the Administrative areas of Aderde, Engerne and Weleteaberq are witnessing higher number of adult students. Mr. Saleh Nisur, the Administrator of Ad-Qeyi’e village, on his part lauded the government commitment to promote education, and said that they would strive to popularize adult education.
Mr. Abdullahi Mohammed Jimi’e, director of the Junior and Elementary School in Engerne, pointed out that the Ministry has registered noteworthy accomplishment in the area, and equally called for enhanced community role in combating illiteracy.
