Molqi, 19 January 2013 – The Health Ministry branch in Molqi sub-zone indicated that mortality rate of mother and child is on the decline in the locality in line with the raised awareness of the inhabitants as regards health issues and the upgrading of service quality.

Mr. Fishale Gebredingl, head of the health center in the locality, explained that the number of mothers who attend antenatal and postnatal services is increasing, and that the community’s liven up awareness pertaining to various issues could be ensured through organizing thorough seminars and community sensitization activities.

Among the mothers who delivered at the health center, Ms. Debah Gebrekristos expressed satisfaction with the maternity service being rendered there vis-à-vis the impressive commitment of professionals, and asserted that the community’s awareness is on the rise to this end. Likewise, Mr. Gebremeskel Gebremariam voiced appreciation for the counseling and seminar service by the health center’s staff.

“We would strive to sustain such impact and enhance the quality of our service,” Mr. Fishale added.
