Concerted efforts underway to reinforce teaching and learning process in Debub region

Reports from the Ministry of Education Debub region branch indicate that concerted efforts are underway in coordination of teachers, parents, students as well as administrations to reinforce teaching and learning process.

Mendefera, 20 January 2013- Reports from the Ministry of Education Debub region branch indicate that concerted efforts are underway in coordination of teachers, parents, students as well as administrations to reinforce teaching and learning process.

According to the report support is being provided by parents to teachers assigned in villages and that has positive impact in the teaching and learning process.

Mr. Solomon Girmai, director of Kudo-Abu’ur Junior and High school, commending the initiative by parents to support teachers called for the sustainability of the initiative.

Mr. Negasi Tekleab, administrator of Kudo-Abu’ur administrative area, on his part expressed readiness on the part of the nine administrative areas that are beneficiaries from the school for the continuation of the initiative.

Priest Girmai Okbu, member of parents’ committee, indicated that before the construction of the high school students were forced to go all the way Mendefera and that was very difficult for the students and parents in terms of living expenses and that to day their children are able to learn in their villages.

In current school year 78 teachers are participating in the teaching and learning process in Kudo-Abu’ur Junior and High School.
