Farmers in Kakibda village to step up efforts towards attaining better production efficiency

Farmers in Kakibda village, Debarwa sub-zone, said that they would step up efforts with a view to attaining better production efficiency vis-à-vis prudent utilization of the water resource from the dam there. Debarwa, 29 January 2013 – Farmers in Kakibda village, Debarwa sub-zone, said that they would step up efforts with a view to attaining better production efficiency vis-à-vis prudent utilization of the water resource from the dam there. They further indicated that they are in a position to ensure 3 harvests annually, while they are preparing to harvest leguminous crops from 30 hectares.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Gebrehiwet Solomon and Mr. Tsegazeab Tekeste commended the government’s commitment regarding the construction of dams and the advisory role of agriculture experts. They also said that they have obtained bountiful harvest on the basis of a select chickpea seed, and called on the Ministry to sustain its collaboration with them.
