Reports indicated that the putting in place of water pipes has gained momentum in Shiketi village, Debarwa sub-zone. Debarwa, 31 January 2013 – Reports indicated that the putting in place of water pipes has gained momentum in Shiketi village, Debarwa sub-zone. Accordingly, more than half of the village’s households are in a position to enjoy potable water supply from their personal taps.

Among the inhabitants, Ms. Gidei Netsereab and Ms. Saba Berhane expressed satisfaction with the new facility, and explained that the availability of ample water supply has encouraged them to carry out in-house gardening activities.

Mr. Gebreyohanes Habtom from the village’s Administration pointed out that the inhabitants have been replying on 20 potable water distribution stations, and that around 600 households have already got access to private taps.

Shiketi village is inhibited by 4,000 people.
