Mr. Abraham Kidane, head of social service in the locality, explained that there exist 24 schools rendering service from kindergarten to High School level, and that more efforts are necessary to make more gratifying impact regarding education in remote areas. Moreover, he indicated that a community hospital, 2 health centers and one health station are rendering commendable service vis-à-vis community health representatives, and asserted that community awareness regarding various health issues is on the rise, especially pertaining to harmful customary practices and maternity matters.
Mr. Abraham further disclosed that disabled citizens are in a position to improve their livelihood through engaging in irrigation farming following the extending of credits by the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare.
