Inhabitants of Gel’alo sub-zone express satisfaction with upgrading of Junior School

The inhabitants of Gel’alo sub-zone expressed satisfaction with the upgrading of a Junior School in the locality to High School level. Gel’alo, 19 February 2013 – The inhabitants of Gel’alo sub-zone expressed satisfaction with the upgrading of a Junior School in the locality to High School level. They further indicated that the school which has been witnessing visible progress from time to time has ensured favorable environment for the teaching-learning process.

Among students, Idris Jaefer, Selam Gebretinsae, Ahmed Abdu and Halima Ahmed pointed out that availability of such educational facility vis-à-vis the carrying out of community sensitization activities has given rise to an increase in the number of female school registration. They also called on fellow students to become exemplary in their academic pursuit.

Mr. Abdalla Mohammed Mohammoda, the director, explained that the school which was launched in 1992 with a view to serving Elementary education was upgraded to junior level in 2009. Moreover, he said that its upgrading to a High School in the onset of the current academic year is a stepping stone to higher educational impact in the locality, and called on parents to extend a helping hand towards ensuring the cherished goal.
