Various development programs implemented in Dekemhare sub-zone at 21 million Nakfa

The Administration of Dekemhare sub-zone indicated that various development programs have been implemented in the locality at a total expenditure of 21 million Nakfa.

Dekemhare, 26 February 2013 – The Administration of Dekemhare sub-zone indicated that various development programs have been implemented in the locality at a total expenditure of 21 million Nakfa. It made the statement at an assessment meeting in which heads of line ministries and other government bodies were present.

In a report he presented at the meeting, Mr. Siyum Gebrekristos, Administrator of the sub-zone, pointed out that remarkable accomplishment has been registered as regards soil and water conservation, renovation of dirt roads and preparation of farmland in 16 Administrative areas. The meeting further noted that endeavors exerted towards raising milk production have made positive outcome vis-à-vis ventures targeting antenatal and postnatal care, as well as child immunization.

Moreover, the number of school registrations in the locality was assessed to be on the rise showing a rather growing trend in that of females.

In closing remarks, Mr. Siyum said that the Administration would strive to renovate water pipelines in eroded by drainage in Dekemhare, besides restoration of widening vales within the city. He also disclosed that more efforts would be made targeting introduction of energy-conserving stove and environmental hygiene.
