Inhabitants of Haikota sub-zone to enhance efforts regarding conservation of palm tree

The inhabitants of Haikota sub-zone said that they would enhance efforts regarding conservation of palm tree, the importance of which is progressively significant in their socio-economic life.

Haikota, 1 March 2013 – The inhabitants of Haikota sub-zone said that they would enhance efforts regarding conservation of palm tree, the importance of which is progressively significant in their socio-economic life.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Haron Mohammed, Mr. Haj Omar and Mr. Osman Adem explained that the products of the tree are related to several income-generating activities, besides its environmental importance.  They further pointed out that they would work hard to promote judicious utilization of such products which are highly related with their lifestyle.
