NUEW members in Germany and North America reiterate pledge to back up national development drive

The National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) members residing in Germany and North America reiterated their readiness to back up the national development drive.

Asmara, 1 March 2013 – The National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) members residing in Germany and North America reiterated their readiness to back up the national development drive. They made the pledge in the respective meetings they conducted recently.

In a seminar she conducted in the Germany city of Stuttgart, Ms. Leul Gebreab, Chairperson of the NUEW, gave in-depth briefings pertaining to gender and the endeavors exerted nationwide to this end. The participants of the seminar said that they would strive to nurture national values in the young members of the Union.

In the same vein, the participants of the meeting conducted in St. Louis, Denver, Los Angeles, Seattle, Las Vegas, Philadelphia and other US cities voiced staunch resistance against anti-Eritrea agenda, and expressed readiness to enhance participation in State affairs. In a Skype message she delivered at the meeting from Frankfurt, Germany, Ms. Leul Gebreab lauded the role of women in the nation-building process, and called on the participants to step up endeavors targeting reinforcement of the Union’s branches abroad.

Moreover, the NUEW Chairperson called on the participants to become beneficiaries of the new investment prospects in the Homeland at individual and group level.
