Southern region: Administrator calls for enhanced community participation in development ventures

The Administrator of the Southern region, Mr. Efrem Gebrekristos, has called on the inhabitants to enhance participation in the implementation of development programs, and government bodies to sustain integrated endeavors to this end.

Mendefera, 1 March 2013 – The Administrator of the Southern region, Mr. Efrem Gebrekristos, has called on the inhabitants to enhance participation in the implementation of development programs, and government bodies to sustain integrated endeavors to this end. He made the call at a meeting conducted in Mendefera city in which heads of line ministries and national Associations, as well as PFDJ officials took part.

It was stated in the meeting that the impact of community initiatives has become significant in all development domains, and the role of government bodies, associations and the PFDJ was described to be vital in synchronizing community undertakings with government endeavors.

The regional Administrator further called on service businesses to adhere to sound strategies towards ensuring customer satisfaction and make input in the improvement of the inhabitants’ livelihood.
