A number of prisoners in Assab city receive training

A number of prisoners in the port city of Assab have received training in collaboration with the Prison and Rehabilitation Center and the NUEYS branch in the Southern Red Sea region.

Assab, 5 March 2013 – A number of prisoners in the port city of Assab have received training in collaboration with the Prison and Rehabilitation Center and the NUEYS branch in the Southern Red Sea region.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Maj. Kahsai Worede, head of the Prison and Rehabilitation Center, explained that the joint venture was conducted with a view to raising the production capacity of the nationals through new career development.

Mr. Azazi Bereketeab, head of the NUEYS branch, indicated on his part that the program attests to the Union’s unremitting effort towards human resource development.

Mr. Salm Ali Salm, head of political affairs at the PFDJ branch in the Southern Red Sea region, pointed out that such opportunities could be obtained only in few countries, and that they are a good means of promoting societal stability.
