The inhabitants of Gogne sub-zone said that outreach child immunization service has become effective, giving rise to remarkable decline in instances of diseases affecting children, and called for sustained efforts to this end.

Gogne, 7 March 2013 – The inhabitants of Gogne sub-zone said that outreach child immunization service has become effective, giving rise to remarkable decline in instances of diseases affecting children, and called for sustained efforts to this end.

Among the inhabitants, Ms. Fatina Ibrahim, Mr. Yusuf Ismail and Ms. Amina Kerar explained that such outreach services have also made a visible impact as regards simplifying workload in outpatient departments. They further expressed satisfaction with the other services being rendered by the health institutions in the locality.

Mr. Bahbelom Tiumzgi, head of the health center in Gogne semi-urban center, indicated that outreach child immunization campaigns are conducted four times a year vis-à-vis continued community sensitization activities, and that the impact of such undertakings is on the rise.
