Inhabitants of Shilalo and Adi-Tsetser villages called upon to practice judicious utilization of social service facilities

The Administration of Laelai-Gash sub-zone has called on the inhabitants of Shilalo and Adi-Tsetser villages to practice judicious utilization of social service facilities. Augaro, 08 March 2013 – The Administration of Laelai-Gash sub-zone has called on the inhabitants of Shilalo and Adi-Tsetser villages to practice judicious utilization of social service facilities. It made the call at a meeting during which Mr. Abdullahi Al-Amin Tita, head of social service in the locality, pointed out that effective utilization and community participation are vital prerequisites for ensuring equitability of social services.

Mr. Hintsa’ab Gebresilasie, Administrator of Shilalo Administrative area, indicated that the inhabitants have become beneficiaries of various social service facilities, and called on parents to extend a helping hand towards raising the number of school registration. Furthermore, Dr. Le’ul Banteyirga, head of the Health Ministry’s branch in Gash-Barka region, said that health facilities in remote areas are playing major role in combating child and mother mortality, and called on the inhabitants to enhance participation in this regard for more gratifying outcome.

Mr. Abraham Haile, Administrator of Laelai-Gash sub-zone, disclosed that the livelihood of the inhabitants is improving following the implementation of a number of development programs.
