ENWVA branch in Anseba region registers significant accomplishment regarding rehabilitation of members
The branch of the Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA) in Anseba region indicated that it has registered significant accomplishment regarding rehabilitation of its members, the impact of which has become visible in the livelihood of the beneficiaries. Keren, 9 March 2013 – The branch of the Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA) in Anseba region indicated that it has registered significant accomplishment regarding rehabilitation of its members, the impact of which has become visible in the livelihood of the beneficiaries.
It made the statement at an assessment meeting during which it was stated that 37 Association members in the region have become beneficiaries of water pumps, while 160 others were rehabilitated in livestock. Moreover, reports indicated that those who obtained cash credit with a view to engaging in bakery and small-scale business ventures are at a stage where they can pay back their debts as they have been utilizing it prudently.
Mr. Dawit Gebrekristos, head of the branch office, pointed out that the Association is striving to raise the production capacity of members, and expressed readiness to collaborate with them in their team-based and individual ventures.
Mr. Ande Gebrekristos from the Association’s Head Office disclosed that the strategies of rehabilitation take into account personal inclination and goodwill of members, and called on the beneficiaries to strive to raise their income through judiciously utilizing the opportunities they have got. The participants lauded the Association’s commitment towards improving the livelihood of its members.
There exist more than 1,700 ENWVA members in Anseba region, 300 of whom are females, according to reports.
