NUEW members in Sweden, South Africa, Italy and US express readiness to back up national development drive
The NUEW members residing in the Republic of South Africa, Stockholm city, Sweden, Milan in Italy and Philadelphia, USA, have expressed readiness to back up the national development drive.
Asmara, 12 March 2013 – The NUEW members residing in the Republic of South Africa, Stockholm city, Sweden, Milan in Italy and Philadelphia, USA, have expressed readiness to back up the national development drive. They made the pledge in the respective occasions they organized in connection with the commemoration of International Women’s Day.
The head of the Union’s branch in Stockholm city indicated that Eritrean women have played major role in the armed struggle for independence and the nation’s resistance against external conspiracies, and called on them to enhance such role on the basis of higher organizational capacity.
In the commemoration held in the South African city of Johannesburg, Mr. Saleh Omar, the Eritrean Ambassador to the country and the southern Africa region, pointed out that the occasion was organized in such a way that depicts national values related to women and the spirit of popular resistance against anti-Eritrea agendas.
The NUEW members in Milan city reiterated their pledge to step up participation in State affairs. Moreover the Union’s members residing in Philadelphia city voiced staunch resistance against hostile agendas targeting the nation, and said that they would strive to promote organizational scope.
