Eritrean Secondary Education Certificate Examination to be conducted next week

The Bureau of Standards and Evaluation, National Board for Higher Education, said that the Eritrean Secondary Education Certificate Examination (ESECE) is due to be conducted from the 18th to the 23rd of this month nationwide and in two international centers in Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Asmara, 14 March 2013 – The Bureau of Standards and Evaluation, National Board for Higher Education, said that the Eritrean Secondary Education Certificate Examination (ESECE) is due to be conducted from the 18th to the 23rd of this month nationwide and in two international centers in Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The examinations would be given both in English and Arabic involving 14 subjects, and the total number of candidates stands at 19,279, 38.5% of whom are females, reports indicated.

Dr. Bissrat Ghebru, Director of Bureau of Standards and Evaluation, pointed out that 17,456 of the nationals sitting for the examination comprise students from Warsai Yikealo Secondary School in Sawa, while the rest are from Technical, Agro-Technical and Commercial Schools, as well as private candidates from the International Eritrean Schools in Saudi Arabia.
